WebEngine has a clearly workflow. Every object must go through a 'cycle' before it will be put online:

Edit
In the Edit view, objects such as HTML pages are created and edited (check in and check out). This is done by the editors. After they have been edited, the objects are submitted to Quality Assurance.

Quality Assurance
The QA view shows the objects with all changes. Quality Assurance staff can check the changes. After checking the object, they decide whether an object is to be rejected or released. The release transmits the quality-assured version of the object to the Publish view.

Publish
The Publish view, puts the object online and visible to the public.  By means of a web server, these pages can be accessed via the Internet, intranet, or extranet.
